DèsLibris becomes Canada Commons!

Share

As of May 1, 2022, the DèsLibris database has been replaced by the Canada Commons platform in the CAIJ database library

Remote access for members is still possible. That said, it is worth noting that the Canada Commons search interface is different from that of DèsLibris, namely the addition of a proximity operator for searching and the function of saving the search query for future reference.

On the other hand, the content accessible through Canada Commons is a bit broader than what was available through DèsLibris. Here is a summary of what Canada Commons offers:

  • More than 25,000 e-books from Canadian publishers (university presses and others) on a variety of subjects, such as law, humanities and social sciences, education, health and management.
  • Over 180,000 public documents from government agencies, advocacy groups, think tanks, university research centers and other public interest groups.

If you have any questions about this change, we invite you to chat with our researchers, who are available from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday.
