Mobile legal information!

April,01 2009

Montreal, April 1st, 2009 – With today’s launch of CAIJ|mobile, the CAIJ becomes one of the first legal information providers in North America to offer a mobile version of its Web site, at http://m.caij.qc.ca

From now on, lawyers can access the JuriBistroMD legal research tools from their mobile phones. With CAIJ|mobile, one can search legislation, case law and legal literature with CONCERTO, find and order a document in the BIBLIO catalogue, read the Développements récents and other Barreau du Québec Publications, keep track of the recent legislation developments with THEMA or start a new research with TOPO legal FAQ.

"In order to address a growing need, we developed a mobile version for devices such as BlackBerry and iPhone, which are popular among our clientele. The CAIJ|mobile provides the lawyers with a quick access to reliable and relevant information, be it in the comfort of their homes or the turbulence of the courthouses. The CAIJ|mobile is in direct line with our mission: to guarantee the best possible access to legal information to Barreau members, regardless of their work environment", says Richard Boivin, Executive Director of the CAIJ.

"Our objective, in developing the CAIJ|mobile was to make legal research simple for smartphone users. The result is a powerful and user-friendly tool. The contents are also adapted in order to provide the clients the essential information", concludes Sonia Loubier, Information Technology Director for the CAIJ.
